I (we) agree to provide the above puppy with a happy loving home to the best of my (our) ability. I (we) also agree to keep the puppy up to date on vaccinations. I (we) will not chain the dog outside or keep it kenneled all the time, but will allow it to be a member of the family. I (we) will make every effort to provide the above with plenty of exercise and attention. Should I (we) break the terms of this contract, I (we) will forfeit the right to keep the dog. I (we) also agree that should we find ourselves unable to keep the puppy/dog for any reason, then Koyne’s Australian Shepherds retains right of first refusal. Koynes must be notified before the puppy can be resold.

If my/our puppy is sold on full registration with breeding rights, then hips must be certified (OFA'd) and eyes cleared before breeding the dog. If puppy is sold on a spay/neuter contract, then proof of spay or neuter must be received before registration papers will be sent.

Your new puppy is the result of a carefully considered mating between two registered dogs. Because we have every confidence in this cross, we offer the following guarantee.

We, Bill and Tricia Kilcoyne do hereby guarantee your puppy to be free of congenital defects for a period of two years. Congenital defects would include, but not be limited to: hip displasia, eye abnormalities and/or epilepsy.

If your puppy is diagnosed with a congenital defect, you can return your puppy with a copy of the vet’s diagnosis for a full refund. If you choose not to take advantage of this guarantee and keep the puppy, we still ask to be notified of the problem so that we do not irresponsibly continue breeding puppies with the same problem.

Furthermore, we have begun the vaccinations and wormings recommended for all puppies and dogs. We do not guarantee puppies against diseases which may be contracted from their environment and require you to continue their vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian.

Your puppy has been socialized by exposing them to different people, other dogs and cats as well as different places and situations. Because your puppy is socialized and intelligent, he/she will want your attention as much as possible. Problem behaviors most often arise when a smart, social, puppy becomes bored and looks for their own entertainment. Giving your puppy the attention and exercise they require will result in a wonderful, attentive, devoted addition to your family!

If for any reason, you decide that you cannot keep, or do not want your puppy (regardless of his or her age), please return the puppy to us rather than taking them to a shelter.
